GDPR

Your data protection rights, and how to use them.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you control over your personal data. This page explains how they apply to senkawolf.com. For details of exactly what this site collects, see the Privacy Policy.

This site collects very little personal data. There are no accounts, forms or mailing lists, and I never ask for your name or email address.

Data controller

The data controller for this website is Ryan, known online as Senka Wolf, an individual based in the United Kingdom. As a private individual running a personal website, I'm not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer, so please contact me directly with any data protection questions.

What I process and why

UK GDPR requires a lawful basis for every use of personal data. These are the only types of personal data this site handles:

Data Purpose Lawful basis
Visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) Counting visits and checking how well the site performs Legitimate interests
Server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) Keeping the site secure, preventing abuse and fixing problems Legitimate interests
Discord username and messages Replying when you contact me Legitimate interests

I don't process any special category data, such as health or biometric data. I don't make automated decisions about you or profile you, and I don't use your data for marketing.

Your rights

You have the following rights over your personal data:

Right to be informed

You have the right to know how your data is used. This page and the Privacy Policy do that.

Right of access

You can ask for a copy of any personal data I hold about you. This is known as a subject access request.

Right to rectification

You can ask me to correct personal data that's inaccurate or incomplete.

Right to erasure

You can ask me to delete your personal data. This is sometimes called the "right to be forgotten".

Right to restrict processing

You can ask me to limit how your data is used, for example while a correction is checked.

Right to data portability

Where processing is based on consent or a contract, you can ask for your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format. This site doesn't currently process data on either basis.

Right to object

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. I'll stop unless I have compelling grounds to continue, such as protecting the site from attack.

Rights related to automated decision-making

You have the right not to be subject to decisions made solely by automated means that significantly affect you. This site makes no such decisions.

How to make a request

To use any of these rights, message me through my Discord server. Please tell me:

  • which right you want to use
  • any details that help me find your data, such as the date and time of your visit or your Discord username

There's no charge. I'll reply within one month of receiving your request. If a request is complex, the law allows me to extend this by up to two more months, and if so I'll tell you why within the first month. I may ask you to confirm your identity before releasing any data.

Because this site doesn't collect names or email addresses, I may not be able to link analytics or server log entries to you. If that's the case, I'll tell you.

Service providers and international transfers

This site is hosted on my own server, senkawolf.cloud, which runs on DigitalOcean infrastructure. DigitalOcean stores the server's data for me but doesn't use it for its own purposes. A few other outside services are involved, such as Cloudflare for visitor statistics. These are listed in the Privacy Policy and process data only on my behalf or under their own privacy policies.

Some of these providers, such as DigitalOcean and Cloudflare, may process data outside the UK. When they do, it's protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the UK–US data bridge or UK adequacy regulations.

How long data is kept

  • Server and firewall logs stay on my server at DigitalOcean and are deleted automatically when the logs rotate. See the server's privacy policy for details.
  • Visitor statistics are held by Cloudflare and deleted under Cloudflare's own retention policy. I don't keep separate copies.
  • Discord messages stay in Discord until you or I delete them.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how I handle your data, please contact me first and I'll do my best to sort it out.

You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you live in the EU or EEA, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
